THE BETHELL HOSPICE STORY
A documentary film about life, death, passion and perseverance

TRAILER
Lorna Bethell was inspired to take action at a time in her life when
many people are looking to put their feet up and call it a day.
At 75 years of age, she took on the biggest project of her life
and mobilized a whole community to step up to the plate.
Bethell Hospice blossomed from the seed of this
woman’s determination.
Together with her daughter, Elizabeth Birnie
they were able to bring awareness to the
deeply misunderstood concepts of hospice,
end of life and palliative care.

Encouraged by her husband Tony Bethell,
a World War II POW who survived Hitler’s
executions after The Great Escape
at Stalag Luft III.

No one should have
to die a lonely death.
